Follow these simple guidelines to help ensure your baby or child's safety:

Stability
A stroller with a wide base and rear wheels well behind the weight of the baby will prevent the stroller tipping when your baby leans over to the side or rocks backward.

Load
If you are intending to carry extra items such as shopping, changing bag, snacks etc you should chose a stroller with an under seat basket. On many strollers hanging anything on the handle or the back could cause it to tip over backwards - check this by hanging a heavy bag on the back of the strollers to see which ones tip over most easily.

Recline Positions
If you purchase a stroller that includes a recliner position check the stroller to make sure the stroller does not fall over backwards when the child reclines.

Folding Stroller
To prevent accidental folding of the stroller always use the locking device. The brakes are used to limit the rotation of the tires when the stroller is at a complete stop. Make sure you do not accidentally pinch your child’s fingers when folding or unfolding your stroller.

Be Safe
Check your stroller to make sure it is completely opened and in the locked position before putting your child in it. A good habit to get into is pushing down on the seat with your hand to make sure it safe for your child.

Brakes
When stopping on a hill, always remember to set the brakes on your stroller, even if you are just stopping for a moment. Most strollers have brakes - remember that, in general, brakes on two wheels are safer than brakes on only one wheel.
